About: DJ Williams
DJ attended and graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in upstate New York in the early 90’s. He has since worked for some of the best Chefs in the United State’s and in some of the best restaurants; Erna’s Elderberry House in Oakhurst, Ca., The Beekman Arms in New York, Postrio and Hawthorne Lane in San Francisco, Sweet Basil and The Wildflower in Vail, Dahlia Lounge in Seattle and Cinch in Los Angeles.
In addition, being raised in a computer oriented family, he has always had a “tech” edge, building websites for restaurants and various specialty ingredients as a way to network and build connections. He was also the Manager of Special Projects at Allrecipes.com prior to it being purchased by Reader’s Digest. He even held a daily on-line cooking show, interviewing the likes of Mario Batali and Rick Bayless!
He’s been visiting Mexico since very early childhood and visited the Los Cabos area for the first time over 20 years ago. Having lived all over the US, he wanted to try something new; bringing his ideas for fresh and simple food to the area, complimenting the many other fabulous options available in this fantastic region.
Now’s he concocted this new catering and events business with Gloria Greene, to be able to take the ripe, seasonal fruits and vegetables from her organic Flora Farm, to be cooked, wherever you would like us to set up our mobile kitchen!
